Basic Human Values, Right-Wing Authoritarianism and Psychological Well-Being Among University Students

The present study aimed to measure the relationship between basic human values, right-wing authoritarianism and psychological well-being among university students. Portrait Values Questionnaire (Schwartz, 2003), Right-Wing Authoritarianism Scale (Altemeyer, 2006) Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being (Ryff & Keyes, 1995) were used collect data. Sample comprised of 250 students including (men = 55, women 195) from different universities Rawalpindi Islamabad. findings indicated that positive existed two orthogonal (openness change vs. conservation self-transcendence self-enhancement) values negative was found dimensions vs values. It also observed exists well-being. Nonsignificant gender differences on given variables. results can provide help in educational sector for devising programs inculcating certain result enhancing their general view life.
